What documents are required to register a vehicle?
Title and proof of insurance
when buying from an individual. If vehicle is purchased from a dealer we need
all the paperwork the dealer gives you. Valid identification.

$7.20 plus sales tax. $8.20 for duplicate title.

Fees vary depending on weight, taxable value, and
year of the vehicle.
What kind of plates do you offer?
Approximately 100 plates, most of which require specific qualifications.
Some special plates have an additional $50.00 one time fee and some have an additional $25.00 per year

What are the fees to file a security
agreement?
$5.00 per page for 81/2 x 11. $10.00 per page for 11 x 17.
*The Clerk and Recorder's Office accepts credit card payments for all Motor Vehicle transactions. We accept Master Card, Visa and American Express. A 2.7% portal administrative fee will be charged for all transactions over $10.00.
